Ol' time Appalachian family with musical instruments

Red Ethel are Kate Hardy (finest voice in the county), Andy Thompson and Justin Preece. Expect a variety of spine-tingling songs from this jazz'folk trio with haunting vocals, luscious harmonies, sublime guitars and rich double bass.

The Fordsons are Wild Hare club regulars and perform old-time, mountain and early bluegrass music from the Appalachian region USA. This is music rooted in the folk ballads and traditional tunes imported to the USA by immigrants from the British Isles. The Fordsons take their influence from the popular old-time music of the 1920s and 30s. Music made famous in the recordings of The Skillet Lickers, Charlie Poole and The Carter Family to name just a few. Expect furious breakdowns, nonsense songs, fiddle and banjo tunes and cautionary ballads of love and loss. This time round Pa Fordson is bringing new blood into the family with a re-vamped line-upincluding John and Corrine from Slippery Slope

Kate last appeared at the Wild Hare Club with Pa Fordson in Them Boonies. Keep it in the family - we say.
